Tamir
became partner of LCI formally in 1998 and started Tamir
Cheshire Community Programme' (TCCP) for the people with
disabilities living in the urban slum areas of
Faisalabad. Community Fund UK provided
financial assistance to TCCP in the CBR programme for the
period of three year 2002-2004. |

Literacy Department, Faisalabad |

Tamir is
running 25 Adult Literacy (Inclusive Education programme)
centers with the support
of Literacy Department Faisalabad in urban slums areas. The Literacy
Department is providing salaries of 25 teachers. |

U.K. Embassy in Pakistan (Small Grant Scheme) |

H.E. Mark
Lyall Grant CMG - British High Commissioner visited Tamir
on 21 October 2003, and was very impressed by the
services towards disable people. In December 2004, BHC approved grant
in order to purchase vehicle for the organization. |

Devolution Trust for Community Empowerment (DTCE) |
|
Partnership with ‘Devolution Trust for Community
Empowerment’ DTCE was established in the month of June
2004. DTCE is non-profit NGOs, whose Patron-in-Chief is
President of Pakistan, General Pervez Musharraf. DTCE
aims is to build a support system by mobilizing all
segments of the society through networking and
public-private partnerships to empower local communities
and ensure their participation in the development
process by facilitating them in the formation of
‘Citizen Community Boards (CCBs) and building their
capacity to identify and implement development projects
as envisaged in local government ordinance 2001. DTCE
has selected only 5 NGOs in Faisalabad District
including ‘Tamir Welfare Organization’s as IME partner in
(Information Monitoring and Evaluation) to check
the progress of 40 Union Councisl in the northern part
of the city Faisalabad. |

Rehabilitation centres for
physically disabled (RCPD) |
|
RCPD is working for disabled people in Peshawar and
provides Physiotherapy and orthopedic training to other
organizations working in disability field. TAMIR is
partner of RCPD for the last three years. |

National Trust for
Population Welfare (NATPOW) |
|
Tamir is also affiliated
with National Trust for Population Welfare (NATPOW)
whose is going to start Reproductive Health Project in
near future. |

Stop TB – WHO |
|
Tamir is partner of Stop
TB programme of World Health Organization in order to eradicate
Tuberculosis from the society under DOTS programme. We
are providing TB medicine through referral systems and
creating awareness about TB disease in the community. |

Mr. Stephen Anjam
(President of Tamir) is a Mediator of Liliane Foundation
in Faisalabad from
Netherlands; who sponsors children with disability from
urban and rural areas since 2004. |
